Nashville, TN-February, 2020- Earl Jones, Metro President of iHeartMedia Kentucky-Indiana, represented his region on Friday, February 21, during the nationwide 2020 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Tennessee. Jones participated in the "Doing Good in Your Hood: Localization Matters" panel alongside Dale Carter, Program Director for KFKF in Kansas City. Tom Hanrahan, Area Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Nashville, moderated the event.
"Doing Good in Your Hood" observed real world tactics on how media leaders can activate impactful charity campaigns alongside meaningful programming that resonates locally. During the event, Jones discussed iHeartMedia Kentucky-Indiana's community initiatives including its non-profit partnership programs and the formation of its local advisory boards in Louisville, Kentucky; Lexington, Kentucky; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
In October 2019, iHeartMedia Louisville announced community partnerships with 12 nonprofits organizations that fall under the umbrella theme of Kids: Heart of Kentuckiana. Each community partner has the opportunity to create a three month marketing campaign based on its specific needs. iHeartMedia Louisville’s Local Advisory Board, comprised of over 25 community leaders,educators and entrepreneurs, selected the recipients through an extensive application process. Similar opportunities will be presented in the iHeartMedia Lexington and Indianapolis markets in the summer of 2020.
Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is a three-day educational event that gathers key business leaders in a multitude of radio and music industry fields. The event is presented by the 501c3 non-profit, Country Radio Broadcasters, and features presentations on best business practices, personal career development and music showcases.
